EMDR Intensives

EMDR Therapy Intensives

More time to focus on what’s hurting and begin to feel better.

For many people, a weekly therapy session doesn’t feel like enough time to work through everything you’re carrying. Weekly sessions can feel like going on vacation and staying in a different hotel every day; packing up and unpacking every day. EMDR therapy intensives offer more time to slow down, focus on what’s troubling you, and work toward healing in a supportive environment.

Whether you’re struggling with past trauma, anxiety, painful memories, or experiences that continue to affect your life today, an EMDR intensive may help you make meaningful progress.

What Is an EMDR Intensive?

An EMDR intensive gives you more time to work with a therapist in an extended session, rather than spreading the work across multiple weekly appointments.

We’ll focus on your individual needs and goals, working at a pace that feels manageable for you. The goal isn’t to rush the process, but to give you the time and support to work through what’s been difficult.

Who Might Benefit from an EMDR Intensive?

An intensive may be a good fit if you:

Feel stuck and want to work through something that continues to affect you.

Are struggling with trauma, anxiety, or painful memories.

Would like more time to focus on your healing without stopping after a typical therapy session.

Prefer to dedicate a longer block of time to therapy rather than meeting weekly.

What Are the Benefits?

  1. More time to focus: Extended sessions give us more time to work on the issues that matter most to you.
  2. A more focused experience: We can spend less time getting back into the work and more time focusing on your goals.
  3. Individualized care: Your intensive is designed around your needs, experiences, and readiness.
  4. Support throughout the process: Your emotional well-being matters. We’ll work together to find a pace that feels right for you.

What Does an Intensive Look Like?

Every intensive is different. Depending on your needs and goals, we can plan an extended session lasting several hours or arrange multiple sessions over one or more days.

Before beginning, we’ll discuss what to expect, make sure you have the tools you need to manage difficult emotions, and develop a plan together.

You don’t have to figure everything out before you begin. We’ll work together to determine what makes the most sense for you.

Let’s Talk About Whether an Intensive Is Right for You

If you’re wondering whether an EMDR intensive might help, I invite you to reach out. We can talk about what you’re experiencing, what you hope to work on, and whether this approach would be a good fit.

You deserve the time and support to work through what’s been weighing on you.
